Dumb Genius......yep, that's me!
Thanks to Liquidgeneration.com and their quiz I am a Dumb Genius. While this should give me something tangible, like public affection, accolades or at least a bonus in pay, I fear none of this will happen. It will be lost in cyberspace like 90% of the crap floating around.
Be gentle with me today please......I'm ready to curl into the fetal position and die. My HOB had a birthday on Thursday. Our lovely friends took us out for "A" beer to celebrate. Several beers and shots later we are all at the local 24 hour eatery looking for something fried and hot to eat. Table of 12 drunks at 4 am.......send warm thoughts to our waitress, will you? I'm sure her doctor will need to up her meds.
We have some of the best people in the world as friends. It's been a long time since I've laughed or danced so much.
My eyeballs are going to pop out any second. I'm leaving now........

I'm a snow bunny.....and you're not!
12 inches....something I'm not usually afraid of, however when it's all over and there is no getting away from it I tend to want to bury my head under the covers.
Ok, you sick pigs.....I was talking about SNOW!
We gots tons, baby! More expected over the weekend! I just hope a lot of it is gone before we do the big move on the 4th of March. My parents are currently in Arizona and dad asked me this morning to make sure it's all gone before they come back. Yea, I'll be right on that, dad.
Let me just say this.......Olympic coverage on US tv SUCKS!!!!! You know, there are more athletes than just the Americans. Canadian Broadcast Corp (CBC) had pretty much 24 hour coverage (they broke for news but that's about it). They showed all the events, not just the ones that had the US athletes with the big NIKE sponsorships. It was complete coverage. They limited their fucking profiles and showed ALL athletes from ALL countries!
No, I don't feel a whole lot better, but some, thanks for asking.
Until later......
Peace out, bitches!

Valentine's Day, Blizzard of '06.....
Hope you all have recovered from Valentine's Day. HOB and I went out for dinner. The food was good, the service was not so good. For a full dining room they had 1 hostess, 2 waitresses and 1 busboy. The hostess was also the restaurant manager who ended up being our server. Towards the end of the evening I finally asked her where all the help was. One waitress was ill, another couldn't find a babysitter and the third, get this, called in and said she was going out to dinner with her husband instead of coming into work. The cheeser to this? She's having dinner with her husband (and family of 6) AT THE RESTAURANT SHE WORKS AT!!!!! If I were the manager I would have taken her order and then advised her that this would be the last time she could ask for an employee discount!! I couldn't imagine the balls it takes to do something like that!
Anyway....we had a lovely dinner, we were in no hurry so we didn't really care how long it took. When the food got to us it tasted good. We also had a bottle of wine and by the end didn't really care what time it was! I have the best time in the world when I am with my HOB.
We are in the middle of a rightous blizzard. We have over 8 inches and are expecting 10-15 more. We are closing up shop early today....not many people out in this anyway to be honest.
Keep safe....later gaters!
Peace out!

Yea, yea, yea....I know....Where the hell have I been?
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Valentine's Day, yada yada yada...
Last time we talked I was on my way to Canada.....had a GREAT time! Did lots of shopping, catching up with friends and some family, had a karaoke night at my sis-in-laws where there was much drinking and even more pot smoking. Aaahhhhh, good ol' Canadian bud! We were there for a few days but packed in a lot of activity.
Christmas was great, once I shot out all of the fucking musak players in the stores. I love holiday music, but at some point enough is enough!
New Years was quiet. HOB and I bought a treadmill (and, yes, I HAVE used is more often than I haven't)...we set it up, had a nice dinner, some champagne at midnight and watched the Blues Brothers! We tried to watch one of the network programs, but I can't stand Regis or Ryan......Jake and Elwood was a much better choice!
HOB and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. We had a jewler friend design a wedding ring for me, which I love and I cried when I first saw it. We went to a lovely restaurant, had a secluded romantic table and talked about where we've been and where we are going. I love that man more than I ever thought possible. So much that it hurts sometimes.
We leaped off the high board and are in the process of buying a house. Much too big for us, way more than I wanted to spend, the mortgage payments are giving me heart palpitations......but we love it, it's beautiful, newly remodeled with custom everything and I can see us having lots of family dinners, parties and so on. We should be moving by the end of the month. Wish us luck!
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day....give all your loved ones a big hug and kiss and don't be afraid to say "I love you".
Last Saturday night I went to a Passion Party, aka sex toy party! Not my first time, but probably the best time I've had. We ended up going out to one of the local bars, met up with tons of other people, danced, drank, did shots and flashed the bartender at the end of the night for a free drink! Oh yea, we also smoked a joint or two. Needless to say, I'm happy that I lived 3 blocks from the bar and happy that there is only 2 cops that are on duty at night! (Yes, I know I shouldn't have driven.....skip the lectures please)
I'm going to try to post more often....in case you cared!
Have a great one.....and until later
Peace out Bitches!
